Microscopes are one of the most important tools in a scientist’s arsenal, allowing them to see things that are too small to be seen with the naked eye. Training students on this vital equipment is essential, but it can be challenging in a traditional classroom setting.
That’s where virtual reality comes in. A team at the Juntendo University in Tokyo is using VR to train students on how to use a lab microscope, and the results are very promising.
AB bis is now working on expanding the VR training to other pieces of lab equipment, and they hope that this will eventually lead to a complete VR lab where students can learn all about the equipment and procedures used in real-world settings.
